Always on the lookout for strong and innovative expertise, GCI Environnement joined forces in 2003 with Maxter Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of mining products with a solid reputation in this sector.

This partnership gave GCI Environnement access to new markets and made it possible to market lifting tail gates and body attachment brackets in eastern Canada and the midwestern United States. Additionally, the company was able to supply light steel bodies for transporting bauxite in Surinam, Jamaica and Latin America.

Established in 1949 by five brothers of the Richler family, pioneers and inventors of several products, Maxter focussed primarily on large civil engineering projects. With its 50 years of experience in manufacturing tilt trucks for large-scale mining or construction projects, this company has developed unparalleled expertise in this field. Still going strong in the fields of engineering and marketing, and with its continually evolving product range, Maxter has garnered a number of recognition awards for innovative product design.

Recognized for the exceptional quality of its innovative products and prototypes, Maxter has manufactured equipment for global-scale projects and its key clients include major companies such as Caterpillar, Kamatsu, Hydro-Québec, etc.

GCI Environnement is currently developing turnkey projects to supply specialized dump bodies to Caterpillar and Komatsu. The most recent project involved improvements to the design of bottom tilt trucks used for dumping minerals, soil, sand, etc. This new design facilitates truck positioning and access during operations.
